This design was made for an online contest, in which the winning design had to be the ugliest design. I came up with this design and made it in Paint, that's why it looks so low res and horrible. Sadly, this design was not the ugliest and I did not win the big prize. Oh well it was fun to try something new.
These are the finished versions of the Imag3 T-shirt designs. On the top in the white is the Old Dude, and below in the gray is the Pillow Line. They came out great and will be available some time this fall, keep an eye out for them on www.imag3vt.com.
During my senior seminar course there was an assignment to redesign a book cover. I decided to use the book "The Raft" by Robert Trumbull. The original cover is the bottom image of the three men after their rescue. I wanted to give a feel of what they must have felt while drifting at sea. So I created an image that shows them alone drifting in the open ocean at night.
These are two photos I took this past winter. The top photo is the Mormon Temple on a cloudy windy day in Salt Lake City, Utah. The bottom photo was taken while on a hike in some Maine woods.
This is an illustration I'm working with for a design. It was hand drawn by mouse in Adobe Illustrator, that is why the early versions look so rough. I did some editing with the lines and cleaned them up, as well used an assortment of brushes to give it a more hand drawn affect.
I was inspired to make this sculpture after watching a documentary on the artist Andy Goldsworthy, "Rivers and Tides." He only works with items found in nature.
In another "Tales from the Notch" edit, we showcased the history of Smugglers Notch as they celebrated 50 years in the ski industry. The edit was filmed at the Vermont Ski Museum in Stowe. I contributed by helping pick locations, setting up the lighting for shots, as well as co-editing the footage.
In the fall of 2008 I volunteered at ECHO Aquarium in Burlington, Vermont
www.echovermont.org. One of the jobs that I was given was to design the calendar of events. Working with a design identity for ECHO I came up with these three.
"Tales from the Notch" is a mini series I was part of during my internship at Smugglers' Notch Resort. I was able to go out and film with a helmet cam for the first time for this edit. I also selected and edited the audio, and the footage for this video.
There was an assignment to come up with a visual argument in my senior seminar. Type had to be at a minimum amount, the visual aspect had to be at a maximum. After reading about medical pills in tap water I came up with this concept. This image was created using an assortment of pill images, with a photo of a glass of water and putting the two together with Photoshop. Illustrator was used to create the pill with the slogan.
